A gully washer of a storm hit parts of Tucson shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday, with ping-pong-ball-sized hail falling in some areas, including the city's south side.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning and a severe thunderstorm warning.

Tucson Electric Power worked to fix more than 10 outages across town, including on the University of Arizona main campus, which was without electricity for a time.

Part of East Grant Road was closed to vehicles due to damaged power poles, according to police.

There are reports across town of trees and signs downed by the storm, and of large rocks washed into the road at Kolb and Snyder.

Rainfall amounts varied greatly throughout town, with Tucson International Airport only reporting about 0.02 of an inch, but the Sabino Canyon area seeing almost two inches, according to Glenn Lader, a meteorologist with the U.S. National Weather Service in Tucson.

Although chances for rain on Sunday are still good, it's unlikely that it will be as strong as Saturday's, Lader said.
