As for the deflated football “scandal,” when I was the basketball manager at Utah State, in the early 1970s, we traveled with our own needle, to inflate and deflate balls to suit our point guard. It has forever been a common (but unspoken) part of college basketball, including the Olson years at Arizona and at virtually every Pac-12 program. No harm, no foul.
