The following is the opinion and analysis of the writer:
She stands on the edge of a precipice days before the election. The end is near.

Again, she lacks voter validation in her second campaign in Arizona. Oh, how she wanted to join some of those fools on the Hill. She has chased political power with a colossal ego, booming forward with more brass than a Chinese gong factory — ear-splittingly loud and tougher than a Kevlar gumdrop. But she looked like a crybaby banging a rattle with her relentless failed voter-fraud litigation in courtroom after courtroom. She could not be ignored; losing was impossible, for defeat is evidence of voter fraud.
She speaks fluent MAGA, the queen of AZ extremism, representing a dogma and ideology to take liberty away from individuals in the name of freedom. The MAGA movement pulses thick about her like a London fog laced with her haunting absolute no-abortion stand. So out of step with most voters.
But, to her, losing is permanently impossible. Her orange god, “DonOld” J. Trump, keeps his distance this fall. He does not want another loser on his team — a loser indeed. She dubbed the late U.S. Sen. John McCain a “loser” and told his supporters to “get the hell out” of her campaign. At least he was a Senator, Kari.
A sign of how fast and far Lake has fallen from her craved position in Donny John-Boy’s world, the AZGOP’s new “Team Unity” now has billboards in AZ featuring JD Vance, Robert Kennedy Jr., Elon Musk, and, of course, the fatted cow Trump. Lake is nowhere to be found.
According to Steve Schmidt, a Republican operative and Sen. McCain’s top campaign adviser, the MAGA movement “is a hive of extremist loons, criminals, foreign agents, propagandists, white supremacists, white nationalists, militia thugs, Nazis, religious grifters, conspiracy nuts, liars, and epic weirdness that has solidified into a poisonous blob of mayhem.”
American politics has become a proving ground for the proposition that malice, incompetence, corruption, dishonesty, extremism, and threats of violence fuel success. What were once disqualifying vices have become the golden gate to power, fame, and fortune within a broken society where conflict and contempt rule.
MAGA is an overfed flock of sheep. Their hustlers have cleaved American society into belligerent factions. Citizens are exhausted by politicians who lust for power and greed, forgoing service. Candidates have grown detached from the honor of service to the grand pageant of democracy.
MAGA politicos talk about violence and mayhem as if it were nothing to be concerned about. Please! Never forget the stunning assault and destruction of our Capitol. Earlier this year, Lake, with her apocalyptic hellscape rhetoric, called for voters to “strap on their Glocks,” her Siren song of violence.
The truth is MAGA voters cannot wait to vote for a convicted felon and a proven guilty criminal rapist. The MAGA syndicate has formed corrupt empires through malice and intimidation while tearing down public confidence in our system of justice. Over time, their grand promises have shattered like cheap glass against reality’s hard, unyielding edges.
Lake and her MAGA tribe have assaulted truth, divided the nation, dehumanized minority groups, and thrived off their lethal stew of resentment, grievance, and anger. They flood discussion and debate with chaos, noise, and lies until no one believes anything.
Auspiciously, we live in an age of wonder and possibility, where we need leaders interested in building, not breaking, democracy — people who can reconcile instead of verbal hostility and physical violence.
As the electorate, our responsibility is to evaluate our candidates’ intellect, competence, judgment, stability, vision, and experience. And, by golly, I am doing just that right now. Next time, Kari, run for city limits, and please let us forget you.
