It’s official! Congress finally worked together to designate the Bald Eagle our national bird.

How reassuring that our public servants roosting in Washington have chosen to honor an esteemed bird very similar to their own values. Many in Congress congregate in areas of plentiful prey, some white-headed or bald, and often spotted at watering holes in the D.C. area before, during, and after their long-deserved recesses. Although it took over 240 years, let’s celebrate and give thanks to our fair-feathered friends on Capitol Hill.
