Today sadly marks the passing of a great American. Jimmy Carter was perhaps one of the most honorable persons to occupy the office of President of the United States. His tenure in the White House was hampered by inheriting the post-Vietnam economic turmoil from Nixon and Ford and ended with the Reagan-directed prolonging of the Iran hostage situation. But he persevered. There are four character traits he demonstrated that will never be accurately applied to Donald Trump: Humanitarian, statesman, patriot and someone who truly understands Christian teachings.
