The article "Health care a sticking point in immigration debate" (June 8) states health care subsidies will cost about $5,300 annually for each person who gets them. The figure thrown around for the number of illegal immigrants is 11 million or so.
Assuming all get subsidies (why not?), that is more than $50 billion a year. The National Immigration Law Center laments it won't fly "for political reason, and not economic reason."
What a world we now live in.
