This year has certainly been different from any in recent memory. While volunteers were not able to hold our annual fundraiser this year due to the pandemic, we were still able to make some substantial donations to the clinic at Pima Animal Care Center (PACC), assisting them in their efforts to provide care for the many pets that come to them with traumatic injuries. With ongoing budget cuts, it is more important than ever to continue our support.

The donation list is varied, but each item will provide improved care to the many animals that enter the clinic at PACC:

  • Four Syringe Pumps (used to gradually administer precise amounts of fluid or medication)
  • Six IV Poles (Cage mounted)
  • Two Ear Thermometers
  • One Aspirator (used in surgery)
  • Two Wood’s UV Lights (used to diagnose ringworm)
  • Two Cordless Clippers (allows techs to shave for IV’s, blood draws and pain patches on location)
  • Two Welch Allyn Opthalmascope/Otoscope (for examination of eyes and ears)

These donations totaled more than $7500!!

Thanks to the many SaddleBrooke residents who have supported this effort over the years. With substantial budget cuts resulting from the pandemic, the clinic will continue to need our help in the coming year. SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network is optimistic that we will be able to resume our fundraising efforts in the second half of 2021. In the meantime, you can help the clinic with donations through PACC’s non-profit, Friends of PACC. Go to their website to donate! Visit https://www.friendsofpacc.org.
