It's not every day your local library turns 40. TheΒ Eckstrom-Columbus Public Library, 4326 E. 22nd St., will celebrate that milestone with a party on-site this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Β

Help us celebrate our 40th birthday! This event will include light refreshments, a live performance by Mariachi Corazon de Tucson, and craft projects for kids. Writer-in-Residence Marge Pellegrino will lead an "I Remember" writing workshop where participants will create a marbleized or collaged journal. Each participant will contribute one line for a collaborative poem.
