High school students and their families can get a better idea of what career training programs are available to them through one of JTED's two upcoming program showcases.
If you go, you'll get to meet teachers, current students and see hands-on demonstrations on what students can learn in a JTED class.
What is JTED?
Here's the skinny: JTED is an acronym for Joint Technical Education District.
It's a public high school district that offers tuition-free career and technical education programs to sophomores, juniors and seniors in public, private, charter and home schools. It also serves students who have not earned a diploma or GED and are under the age of 22.
There are central campuses located throughout Pima County, as well as satellite locations at public high schools.
Programs
There are 25 central campus programs to choose from including cosmetology, culinary arts, early childhood education, fire service, graphic/web design, automotive technologies, emergency medical technician, animation, certified caregiver, information technologies, medical assistant and more.
