NCAA Womens Golf

Haley Moore’s clutch putt last week helped the UA women’s golf team beat Alabama in the national championship match. Moore won all three of her matches during the final two days of the event. It was the first team title for a Wildcats squad since the baseball team won it all in 2012.

UA golfers Haley Moore and Bianca Pagdanganan both advanced to the U.S. Women’s Amateur’s round of 32 with match-play wins over their opponents Wednesday.

Moore defeated South Korea’s Bohyun Park 1-up. Pagdanganan won her match by the same score, defeating Stanford’s Albane Valenzuela of Stanford. Both Moore and Pagdanganan were both keys to a UA team that won the NCAA Championship earlier this summer.Β

The Women’s Amateur is being played at the Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs.
