Six new faces will hit the mats with Arizona gymnastics, having inked deals with UA on National Signing Day.
Half of the class will make its way down Interstate 10 from the Phoenix area. Abba MacKinney of Arizona Dynamics and Avery Tarico of Gold Medal Gymnastics hail from Chandler, while JJ Schibel, also of Gold Medal Gymnastics, is representing Scottsdale.
Coming in from across the country are Avery McKay of Chapel Hill, NC, and Camryn Pennucci of Wilton, Conn. Arizona head coach John Court also locked in Olivia Sawyer of Trophy Club, Texas.

"We are thrilled to welcome Abba, Avery, JJ, Olivia, Camryn and Avery to our Wildcat family," Court said. "From the moment we met each of them we felt that they belonged at Arizona, would help push our team to more competitive success, and would thrive academically in Tucson."
MacKinney is a 2025 national bars silver medalist and in 2021 racked up the following accolades: national floor champion, regional floor champion, Arizona state all-around champion and Arizona state floor champion.
McKay, of SGA Gymnastics, is a two-time national qualifier and in 2025 was named Region 8 all-around champion, North Carolina state floor champion and placed eighth in the all-around at nationals and second on beam and floor at the Region 8 regionals.
Pennucci, of Arena Gymnastics, is a two-time Eastern national beam champion, and this year was a national all-star beam qualifier.
Sawyer, of Texas Dreams Gymnastics, is a national and regional qualifier, two-time Texas state beam champion, Texas state floor champion and a Level 9 Westerns qualifier.
Schibel was a two-time regional qualifier in 2024 and 2025, participated in the 2023 Western Championships, was a Team USA silver medalist at the 2022 Maccabiah Games in Israel and helped Gold Medal Gymnastics win the 2025 Arizona state team championship gold medal, along with Tarico.
Tarico is a 2025 development program national team member, placed third on floor and fourth in the all-around at nationals, is a two-time development program national qualifier and two-time Arizona state floor champion, and placed first on beam, floor and the all-around at 2025 regionals. She was also part of the 2024 first-place team in the Arizona state championships, as well as the 2025 squad.
