The Arizona GymCats are tumbling their way into the NCAA championship tournament after earning a team bid earlier this week.
Arizona (195.583 average score) will face rival ASU (195.590) in the first round of the tournament in the Tempe Regional at Desert Financial Arena on April 1.
Tucsonans can watch Arizona take on ASU in the first round of the tournament at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
The winner of the first round will advance into the second round bracket alongside No. 3 Florida, No. 14 California and Penn State.
Regional play runs from April 1-5, followed by the semifinals on April 16.
The National Championship is set for April 18 in Fort Worth, Texas.
In addition to the team bid, four Arizona GymCats earned selections to compete as individual qualifiers, according to Arizona Athletics.
Sophomore Jessica Janicke (vault), junior Abigayle Martin (all-around), senior Emma Strom (floor) and junior Tirzah Wise (beam) will compete as individual qualifiers.
This is Arizona’s 37th overall appearance in the tournament, according to the Big 12. The GymCats finished fourth in last year’s NCAA regional final with a score of 196.250.
Before heading to this year’s NCAA tournament, the GymCats finished fourth in the Big 12 Championship on March 21 with a team score of 194.725.
During the regular season, Arizona edged ASU, 196.400 to 196.000, during its last meetup on March 6.

Should the GymCats advance to the NCAA championship, it would be their 11th championship appearance in program history.
