OMAHA, Neb. - The deciding third game of the College World Series finals between Arizona and Coastal Carolina has been postponed until Thursday because of lightning in the area. The game is scheduled to begin at 10:08 a.m., Tucson time.  The game will air on ESPNU.

When the national-championship game starts Thursday, Bobby Dalbec is expected to start for the Wildcats.

The junior right-hander has been stellar on the mound during the College World Series, allowing only two earned runs in 15 innings. He will be starting on three days’ rest after throwing 102 pitches in Arizona’s bracket-clinching 5-1 victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Dalbec is 11-5 this season with a 2.65 ERA and a team-high seven saves.

Coastal Carolina was scheduled to start junior right-hander Alex Cunningham – not fellow junior Andrew Beckwith, as many expected. It's unknown whether Beckwith would be available Thursday

Cunningham also started Saturday, against TCU, allowing four earned runs in 6 1/3 innings. He threw 88 pitches.

For the season, Cunningham is 10-4 with a 3.64 ERA. He has allowed 114 hits in 116 1/3 innings, striking out 97.
