First baseman Alfonso Rivas III and catcher Cesar Salazar repeated as All-Pac-12 honorees, leading a six-pack of Arizona Wildcats who were recognized by the conference Thursday.

Third baseman Nick Quintana joined Rivas and Salazar as all-league selections. Infielder Cameron Cannon, pitcher Cody Deason and outfielder Cal Stevenson earned honorable-mention recognition.

Rivas, a junior, led Arizona with a .342 batting average. He also had a career-high 15 doubles, seven home runs and 52 RBIs, which ranked ninth in the Pac-12.

Salazar, also a junior, hit .339 with 11 doubles, four homers and 42 RBIs. He led the team with a .432 on-base percentage and threw out 16 of 28 would-be base stealers.

Quintana, a sophomore, hit .313 and led the Wildcats with 14 homers, 55 RBIs and a .592 slugging percentage. Quintana ranked in the top eight in the league in homers, doubles (17), runs (49) and RBIs.

Cannon, who split time between second base and shortstop, hit .321 with 59 runs (tied for first in the Pac-12), 21 doubles (tied for second), eight homers and 50 RBIs. The sophomore also led Arizona with 37 walks.

Deason, the Wildcats’ Friday-night starter, went 6-5 with a 2.87 ERA. The junior ranked fifth in the conference with 84 strikeouts and held opposing hitters to a .216 average.

Stevenson, a senior, fought through a hand injury to hit .293 with a .416 on-base percentage. Despite missing eight games, he ranked second on the team in walks (35) and fourth in runs (47).

Arizona (34-22, 14-16 Pac-12) did not make the NCAA Tournament, which begins Friday.

Stanford is the No. 2 national seed, and its coach, Dave Esquer, was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year. In his first year, Esquer led the Cardinal to a 44-10 overall record and the regular-season league championship.

Two players from No. 3 seed Oregon State were honored by the Pac-12. Senior left-hander Luke Heimlich was named Pitcher of the Year after going 14-1 with a 2.49 ERA and a league-high 139 strikeouts. Junior shortstop Cadyn Grenier was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Cal sophomore first baseman Andrew Vaughn won the batting title (.402) and earned Player of the Year honors. Vaughn ranked second in the league with 23 home runs and tied for second with 63 RBIs.

Arizona State first baseman Spencer Torkelson was named Freshman of the Year after hitting a league-and nation-high 25 home runs.
