The Arizona Wildcats’ weekend road trip started the way last weekend’s home series ended — with runs.

The Wildcats scored 10 runs in the first four innings and was trouncing the host Trojans 14-2 at Dedeaux Field. Oddly, the team managed just seven hits. The UA walked 15 times; outfield Ryan Haug took four free passes on his own.

Nick Quintana continued to rake, driving in four runs, ripping two doubles and scoring on a wild pitch. Quintana has 11 RBIs in his last three games dating back to last week’s series against Oregon State. Cameron Cannon and Cesar Salazar each added a pair of RBIs; Cannon had a solo home run, his fifth blast of the season.

The run support was more than enough to back starter Cody Deason. He allowed one run on six hits in six inning, striking out eight and walking one.
