Coach Jay Johnson and the Arizona Wildcats will open the 2020 season at home vs. Albany on Feb. 14.

The Arizona Wildcats will open the 2020 baseball season on Valentine’s Day.

Opening night at Hi Corbett Field is scheduled for Feb. 14 vs. Albany, the UA announced Thursday.

The opener of that three-game series is the first of 16 non-conference games preceding the start of Pac-12 play. The non-conference slate includes a neutral-site game vs. Minnesota at Tempe Diablo Stadium; a three-team tournament at Hi Corbett featuring Central Michigan and Rhode Island; a trip to Texas; and a visit to Arizona State.

Arizona opens league play at home against perennial power Oregon State on March 13. The game will mark the first time new pitching coach Nate Yeskie faces his former team.

The Wildcats’ conference series vs. the rival Sun Devils is slated for April 24-26 at Hi Corbett. Those games are among 15 currently scheduled to be televised by Pac-12 Networks. All home games can be viewed via live stream.

The Wildcats will host their annual "Meet the Team" event on Friday, Feb. 7, at a time to be announced.

Arizona went 32-24 last season, finishing the year with a 10-game winning streak.
