The University of Arizona baseball team rallied from an early five-run deficit to beat host Utah Valley 7-6 on Monday night.

The Wildcats scored five times in the top of the eighth to erase a 5-2 deficit. With UA down 5-4, Matt Fraizer hit a three-run homer for the go-ahead runs.

Fraizer and Alfonso Rivas both had two hits for UA, which has won two in a row since ending a five-game losing skid.

Josh Haley (1-1) earned the win in relief with 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Avery Weems earned the save despite giving up a run in the bottom of the ninth to make it 7-6.

Utah Valley (14-28) scored five runs in the bottom of the third to take a 5-0 lead.

The Wildcats (25-17) start a three-game series with No. 7-ranked UCLA beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday at Hi Corbett Field.
