While the Arizona Wildcats jumped up five spots to No. 18 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll Monday, their instate rivals continued to make even bigger noise.

ASU moved past Duke into the No. 3 spot, matching the highest in program historyΒ (its 1963 and 1981 teams also made it to No. 3). The Sun Devils, who picked up five first-place votes, are 10-0 after coming back to beat Vanderbilt on Sunday at ASU.

ASU and Arizona, the only two Pac-12 teams to receive votes in the AP poll, will open their Pac-12 seasons on Dec. 30 at McKale Center.

Our scouting report is attached to this post along with other recent items.

The really big news about the Bison is on the football field.

Four-star 2018 forward Sam Froling of Australia has beenΒ scheduled to visit Arizona for Monday's game. The Wildcats also recruited his brother, Harry, who is now playing at Marquette.

USC's Jordan McLaughlin won the Pac-12 player of the week award. He's the first player not from Arizona or ASU to win it this season.
