Colorado's win over skidding California boosted Utah into the Pac-12's final first-round bye, and meant UA will be facing either the Buffs or Washington State in the Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinals next Thursday in Las Vegas.
The Buffaloes (8-10 in conference play) moved up to the No. 7 seed while WSU will be the No. 10 seed after losing at UCLA on Saturday.
Arizona has played the Buffs in four of the five Pac-12 Tournaments since the Buffs joined the conference in 2011-12, and is 3-1 in those games (Colorado only beat the Wildcats in the 2012 championship game).
"Could be Washington State," UA coach Sean Miller said. "If it's Colorado, I think we play them every year. It's five years in a row, right? But weβre not there yet. We want to enjoy this and our guys deserve a chance to enjoy it."
