In a tribute statement released on Twitter before Lute Olson's statue is unveiled late Thursday afternoon, Arizona coach Sean Miller said "everything about coach Olson exemplifies greatness."

The Olson statue ceremony will be live-streamed here starting at 4:30 p.m.


Arizona's springtime recruiting efforts have spread all the way to Belgium, where 6-foot-7 forward Omar Thielemans is planning to take a recruiting visit to Arizona this weekend.

Thielmans posted news of his scheduled visit on Twitter.

Arizona Desert Swarm tracked down videos of Thielemans, who plays for B.C. Oostende in Ostend, Belgium.

Arizona was also scheduled to host 2018 high school point guard James Akinjo this weekend, but 247Sports analyst Josh Gershon says Akinjo is no longer expected to visit (he appears to be a Georgetown lean). The Wildcats have six open scholarship spots after Devonaire Doutrive signed his letter of intentΒ on Wednesday night.


Samford grad transferΒ Justin Coleman, a 5-10 point guard who averaged 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds last season, is considering Arizona,Β Rivals' Corey Evans tweeted.

Evans said Coleman is visiting Texas Southern on Friday and is also considering UAB, St Louis, NKU, Auburn, SMU, Marquette and Ohio State.
