Arizona’s Nov. 3 season opener against Florida at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has been made part of a Basketball Hall of Fame doubleheader that will also include a BYU-Villanova game.

Game times remain to be announced, but the UA-Florida game will be carried on TNT. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale May 30 via hofseries.com and axs.com.

UA confirmed the game was scheduled earlier this month but issued an official statement Monday in conjunction with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

“Opening the season in the Hall of Fame Series against a team like Florida in Las Vegas is a tremendous opportunity for our program and our fans,” UA coach Tommy Lloyd said in the statement. “I know T-Mobile Arena will be rocking that night, and we look forward to competing against one of the best teams in the country on opening night.”

Arizona is 2-2 all-time against the Gators, but the teams haven’t met since 2012-13, when the Wildcats pulled out a 65-64 win at McKale Center to finish a two-year home-and-home series. A season earlier, Florida beat UA in Gainesville, Florida, in overtime.

Arizona celebrates after holding off Florida to win on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at McKale Center. Arizona won 65-64.

The Wildcats are scheduled to face five other high-level nonconference opponents in 2025-26 — San Diego State, UCLA, UConn, Auburn and Alabama — but will not play in a major multi-team event and will lose two Big 12 games due to the conference’s trim to 18 games next season.
