Arizona's Allonzo Trier was listed as a participant in Pac-12 media day in this screenshot of the original schedule.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Arizona sophomore guard Allonzo Trier was scratched from today's Pac-12 media day as questions still surround his eligibility.

UA coach Sean Miller said he was "not gonna comment on that right now" when asked at the media day podium about Trier's absence and what the status of his eligibility was.

Trier had been scheduled to attend the event for months and listed as a participant as late as Thursday, but today's schedule indicates Kadeem Allen would appear along with UA coach Sean Miller.

Miller said he could not speak to "rumors" about Trier's eligibility after UA's Red-Blue Game last Friday and a UA spokesman has not returned repeated messages from the Star this week asking if Trier would appear at Pac-12 media day.

UA athletic director Greg Byrne also declined to return a call about Trier last week and, when asked in person about it at the Red-Blue Game, would not say a word in response.

Speaking on the Pac-12 Networks' media day show earlier today, Miller said that Trier has worked harder in the offseason than any player he's had.

"He’s added to his game," Miller said. "I hope he’s going to be one of the stories of why you do come back."
