The Arizona Wildcats have added two more players to their roster: Transfers Kat Wright and Tee Tee Starks.
Wright, who played at Florida Atlantic, is eligible to play right away as a graduate transfer. Wright averaged 11.7 points per game and shot 40.1 percent from 3-point range two years ago. She hit 11 3-pointers in FAU's Jan. 30, 2016 win over Charlotte, the second-most in NCAA history.
“Kat is a very accomplished player who is a fierce competitor with a high basketball IQ,” UA coach Adia Barnes said in a statement Wednesday. “She is a player that we can use in many different ways and she will also stretch the floor for us.”
The Sherman Oaks, California native can also rebound: She averaged 4.6 rebounds per game during the 2015-16 season. She sat out last season after suffering an injury.
Starks averaged three points, four rebounds and two assists per game at Iowa State this season. She will sit out one year due to NCAA transfer rules, and will have three years to play for the Wildcats.
Starks was named to the Big 12's All-Academic First Team.
“Tee Tee is a winner,” Barnes said. “She is tough, smart and does so many things well to help her team win.”
