Arizona Wildcats guard Rawle Alkins (1) will not play tonight at Cal due to soreness in his right foot. He watches his teammates warm up before game time at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, California on January 17, 2018.

Arizona sophomore Rawle Alkins will not play Wednesday at Cal because of soreness in his previously injured right foot.

UA trainer Justin Kokoskie said Alkins experienced soreness after practice Tuesday and, although subsequent X-rays were negative, the team decided to sit him out as a precaution.

Alkins remains day-to-day so it is unclear if he will play Saturday at Stanford.

UA has not said who will start in Alkins' place, but the Wildcats appear likely to go with either freshman Brandon Randolph or sophomore Dylan Smith.
