Tommy Lloyd wasted no time heading down the recruiting trail for Arizona, pulling in class of four-star center Dylan AndersonΒ of Gilbert's Perry High School.
Former UA coach Sean Miller and his staff have long been recruiting Anderson, who has been considered a top prospectΒ even before he reached high school,Β but Lloyd's hiring clinched his commitment.

Anderson's father, Rob, told the Star his son has liked Arizona since Sean Miller started recruiting him three years ago but recently hasΒ had Gonzaga at the top of his list.
"Coach Lloyd had made it crystal clear that Dylan was his number one target at Gonzaga," Rob Anderson said. "So when we saw the news, it was an absolute win win for the family. Dylan gets to stay at home and represent Arizona, and we love everything coach Lloyd is about, and he has a 20 year proven history at Gonzaga. For us, it couldn't be a better situation."
Anderson had also been considering Grand Canyon, Kansas, and Michigan, according to 247Sports.com. Anderson told Stockrisers in February that his offers also included ASU, Cal, Creighton, Colorado, and North Carolina.
A true 7-footer with stretch-four potential, Anderson has been rated the No. 1 player in Arizona by the Republic.
