Arizona's road games at UConn and Alabama will both be played at 11 a.m. Arizona time over the first two Sundays of December.
The Wildcats will play UConn at Hartford's XL Center at 1 p.m. Eastern Time on Dec. 2, and play at Alabama at noon Central time in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Dec. 9.
The Alabama game will be carried on ESPN and the UConn game will be on ESPN2.
While the two games will force the Wildcats to fly about 10,000 total miles over a four-week period that also counts their Maui Invitational appearance, at least the day games mean the Wildcats can return home via charter by Sunday evening.
The tipoff times should also make it easier for UA fans living in the East Coast or South to attend the games.
Most other UA game times and exact dates for Pac-12 matchups are yet to be announced.
Arizona doesn't uniformly announce its preseason athletic testing results, but it does let some accomplishments slip out most years.Β
On Friday, Brandon Randolph posted video of a 46.5-inch vertical leap that appears to be second in the Miller Era only to the 47-inch leap Nick Johnson made in 2013. Kobi Simmons also did 45 inches in 2016.
UA commit Nico Mannion will face the No. 2 player in the class of 2020, Jalen Green, when Pinnacle faces San Joaquin Memorial at the Hoophall West event in Scottsdale on Dec. 6, in an 8 p.m. game to be televised by ESPNU or ESPN2.
However, that game will be played the same night as UA's home game with Utah Valley (the time for that has not been set).
Blue Ribbon Yearbook put Oregon at No. 9 and UCLA at No. 14 in its preseason Top 25.
Chase Jeter turned 21 Wednesday.
One of the big July recruiting showcases in Las Vegas, the Fab 48, vows it will return despite changes from the NCAA intended to deemphasize independent and shoe-sponsored events.
ICYMI, Arizona had to pay Houston Baptist $100,000 -- the most of any opponent -- after the Maui Invitational couldn't find the Wildcats an add-on game (second item here after a follow-up story on Mannion.)
