Pittsburgh's Ryan Luther, right, led the Panthers in scoring and rebounding through 10 games before a foot injury kept him out the remainder of 2017-18.

Pitt grad transfer Ryan Luther has committed to play his final season of college basketball at Arizona, 247Sports and Rivals have reported.

Luther visited Arizona last weekend along with Belgian forward Omar Thielemans, who also committed to the Wildcats.

A 6-foot-9, 225-pound forward, Luther played in just 10 games last season with foot issues, but was leading the Panthers in scoring (12.7 points) and rebounding (10.1) when he was held out for good in mid-January.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Luther’s injury last season involved the third metatarsal in his right foot and he also missed 12 games in 2016-17 with a stress fracture in the second metatarsal of his right foot.

Luther was vocal in his support of former Pitt coach Kevin Stallings, who was fired after last season.

β€œI am disappointed with the decision to fire coach Stallings,” Luther posted on Twitter. β€œOur team wanted to be here and play for coach Stallings and his amazing staff.”

Arizona now has nine players lined up for the 2018-19 season, and four scholarships remaining.

The Wildcats are scheduled to host Lithuanian center Lukas Kisunas on Friday and Saturday, then Florida Gulf Coast grad transfer guard Zach Johnson on Sunday. Justin Coleman, a point guard from Samford, is scheduled to visit Arizona on April 25.
