No. 9 Arizona is back in the AP Top 10 for the first time since November, and after sweeping Utah and Colorado, the Wildcats are riding high with six straight wins under their belt and atop of the Pac-12.
This week, the Cats play Washington State on Wednesday and Washington on Saturday, which will also be the first time UA associate head coach Lorenzo Romar will return to Seattle. Before Arizona, Romar was fired at Washington after serving as head coach for 15 seasons so Saturday is expected to be a "bittersweet" game for the former longtime UW head coach.
It's also a homecoming for Arizona guard Allonzo Trier as he grew up in Seattle and attended Romar's basketball camps at an early age. Trier said Monday that he won all of the awards at Romar's camp and the two have always maintained a close relationship.
Another key note heading into this week is the status of Rawle Alkins after missing last week with soreness in his right foot, which was the same one he broke in September. Will he be ready to go for Wazzu on Wednesday? It's likely.
Trier and Sean Miller held a press conference on Monday before the Cats hop on a charter flight to Washington, find out what they had to say.
