Arizona's first official addition to Brent Brennan's staff is strength and conditioning coach Cullen Carroll, who coached at San Jose State and Stanford.

Arizona's football staff has a Brennan and now it has a Carroll. But it's not Brennan Carroll, the former offensive coordinator who followed Jedd Fisch to Washington.

The first official addition to head coach Brent Brennan's staff at Arizona is strength and conditioning coach Cullen Carroll.

Carroll spent one season at his alma mater San Jose State, where Brennan previously coached before coming to Arizona. Carroll spent nine seasons under David Shaw at Stanford and was the director of football sports performance for the Cardinal from 2019-22. Carroll and Arizona defensive assistant Duane Akina were on Shaw's staff for nine years.

"The comprehensive development of our student-athletes including the durability and physical performance of our roster has been at an elite level since he joined our program," Brennan said of Carroll in a news release. "Carroll's impact on our program through student-athlete success cannot be understated. We have one of the nation's best in charge of our strength and conditioning and he will do an outstanding job leading our young men."
