Arizona added some more Texas flavor to its recruiting class with the addition of three-star Houston-area wide receiver Muizz Tounkara, who committed to the Wildcats on Instagram Saturday afternoon.
The 6-3, 195-pound Tounkara, a League City, Texas native and Clear Springs High School star, selected the Wildcats over Kansas and Wisconsin. He also held offers from Houston, Marshall, Cal, Penn State, Utah and Arkansas.
Tounkara is the fourth wide receiver in Arizona's 2025 recruiting class, joining Orlando star Isaiah Mizell, Chandler Basha's Gio Richardson and Dallas-area standout Terry Porter. San Antonio-area two-way star Sean Robinson can also play wide receiver in Arizona's '25 class.
Tounkara is Arizona's eighth commit from Texas for the 2025 recruiting cycle, which ties its 2019 class for total prospects from the Lone Star State. Arizona has commits from Texas, Arizona, California, Florida and Hawaii.
"I think in recruiting it doesn't matter where you are, it all comes down to relationships and trust, and you have to do a great job of building trust with those players and families and high school coaches and junior-college coaches or whatever that is," said Arizona head coach Brent Brennan. "I think good people can recruit in any area of the world. It doesn't matter where you are."
Arizona currently has 20 commits for 2025.
