Observations from warmups before the Arizona Wildcats’ game against Houston tonight at Arizona Stadium:

* Tight end Trevor Wood, listed as questionable because of an ankle injury, was in a boot and sweats. Downgrade him to out. Redshirt freshman Jamie Nunley and freshman Bryce Wolma will share the TE duties.

* Tailback Nick Wilson, also listed as questionable, did not have any sort of obvious extra wrapping on either of his ankles. But he was the third back through the rotation behind Zach Green and J.J. Taylor.

* Backup quarterback Khalil Tate (shoulder) was not listed on the injury report but did not appear to fully participate in warmups. While the other QBs were throwing to receivers, Tate was playing catch with a coach in the end zone. He later threw one out pattern with the quarterbacks, then got his arm and shoulder stretched by a trainer.

* The first quarterback up for Houston in 7-on-7s was Kyle Allen. The Cougars did not announce a starter, but Allen appears to be the guy.

* Linebacker Brandon Rutt was doing some of the long snapping during warmups, along with backup snapper Donald Reiter. I didn’t see starting snapper Nick Reinhardt.
