"I would also like to give a huge thank you to Coach Jeremy Springer and Kevin Sumlin for believing in me and giving me this opportunity," Ostendorp said in the tweet.
Ostendorp, a Phoenix native that plays at Desert Vista, becomes the first in-state recruit to commit to Arizona in 2019.
The 6-foot-3 Ostendorp also becomes Sumlin's first special teams recruit at Arizona and will fill a gap at the punting position when Jake Glatting and Cal graduate transfer Dylan Klumph both departing after the 2018 season.
Ostendorp participated in the Chris Sailer Kicking Camp, a national camp for kickers and punters, and was evaluated by Sailer himself.
"Kyle is a very good high school punting prospect that shows potential to be great. A big, tall, strong athlete with an ideal frame for a college punter. He punts for excellent distance. His hang time needs to improve to move higher up the rankings. The tools are there to do so. I look forward to working with Kyle again. I expect him to do very well in Las Vegas this coming May. One to keep a close eye on. Nice prospect," Sailer said in the evaluation.
