Following his 13th career game-winning field goal, Tennessee Titans kicker Nick Folk was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Tuesday.ย
The former Arizona Wildcat kicked a 41-yard field goal in a 27-24 overtime win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Folk also hit a buzzer-beater 33-yard field goal at the end of the first half.ย
It's the ninth time the former Arizona Wildcat has earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Folk won it once with the Dallas Cowboys, thrice with the New York Jets and four times with the New England Patriots. During his time with the Patriots, Folk set an NFL record for 64 consecutive field goals from under 50 yards.ย
A year after signing a two-year, $5 million deal with the Patriots, the 38-year-old Folk was traded to the Titans for a 2025 seventh-round NFL Draft pick.
This season, Folk is 7-for-7 at field goals โ 3-for-3 on extra points. Over his 17-year NFL career, Folk, who is the last Mike Stoops-era product in the NFL, is 360-for-433 (83%) at field goals and 461-for-476 at PATs.ย
