Former four-star recruit Jamardre Harris-Cobb has left the Arizona Wildcats football program, a school official confirmed.
Harris-Cobb was part of Arizona’s 2014 recruiting class, which also featured Marquis Ware, his teammate at Bishop Mora Salesian High School in Los Angeles. Both were rated as four-star recruits. Neither panned out at Arizona.
Ware, a linebacker, medically retired in September 2016. He made one career tackle.
Harris-Cobb began his UA career as Jamardre Cobb and also played linebacker. He later moved to fullback and played defensive tackle during spring practice, which wrapped up last week.
Harris-Cobb caught a 1-yard touchdown pass against Nevada in 2015. He mostly played on special teams.
Harris-Cobb’s departure means only four players remain from the class of 2014: receiver Tony Ellison, tackle Layth Friekh, kicker Josh Pollack and cornerback Jace Whittaker.
