CORVALLIS, Ore. — Observations from warmups before the Arizona Wildcats’ game at Oregon State on Saturday afternoon at Reser Stadium (1 p.m., Pac-12 Networks):

* Nose tackle PJ Johnson, who missed the past two games, is dressed and participated in warmups. It appears Johnson will be part of the second wave of defensive linemen, playing alongside Finton Connolly. The starting D-tackles are Dereck Boles and Abraham Maiava.

* Cornerback Jace Whittaker made the trip and is dressed, but it doesn’t appear that he’ll play. Whittaker has a sleeve on his left arm and didn’t appear to have much mobility in that arm during early warmups. He did not participate in 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 drills.

* With Whittaker out, Tim Hough again will start opposite Lorenzo Burns. The other starting DBs: Scottie Young Jr., Jarrius Wallace and Tristan Cooper. Young and fellow safety Isaiah Hayes both appear to be good to go after exiting last week's game before its conclusion.

* Freshman safety Dayven Coleman, who injured his knee last week, did not make the trip.

* As expected, Conor Blount took the first-team reps for Oregon State at quarterback. Jake Luton got banged up last week at Nevada.

* A light drizzle fell periodically during warmups – nothing that should affect the game in any substantial way.
