BOULDER, Colo. – Observations from warmups before the Arizona Wildcats’ game against Colorado tonight at Folsom Field:

* Freshman free safety Scottie Young Jr. lined up with the first unit during the 7-on-7 and team portions of warmups. The expectation is that he'll start, despite his arrest last week on a misdemeanor domestic-violence charge.

* Also working with the ones in 7-on-7 and team: freshman “Mike” linebacker Colin Schooler. He appears set to make his first career start.

* Senior “Stud” DeAndre' Miller is in full uniform. He is expected to make his 2017 debut tonight after missing the first four games because of a foot injury.

Trevor Wood was the first man through in Arizona’s tight end rotation. He could be returning to the starting lineup, giving the Wildcats a sturdier blocking presence than leading receiver Bryce Wolma provides. Wood did not have on the knee brace he wore in limited duty vs. Utah.

* Quarterback Khalil Tate launched a 50-yard pass into the end zone during the early portion warmups. He also went through the full array of QB drills and threw with his usual velocity, further signs that he’s all the way back from that shoulder issue

* Some interesting names working with the twos for Arizona: “Will” linebacker Anthony Pandy and cornerback Antonio Parks.

* Freshman kicker Lucas Havrisik made a 56-yard field with room to spare. The altitude here does make a difference.
