Observations from warmups before the Arizona Wildcats’ game against No. 15 Washington State tonight at Arizona Stadium:

* Tailback Nick Wilson (ankle; questionable) is dressed and went through warmups. But Wilson was working with the second unit during 7-on-7. The guess here: Wilson plays only in an emergency. Zach Green and J.J. Taylor would share the load in that scenario.

* The three Arizona defensive players listed as probable – DT Dereck Boles, LB Tony Fields II and DE-LB Kylan Wilborn – lined up with the first unit during the brief “team” portion of warmups. It appears that all three will start.

* The flip chart showed safety Jarrius Wallace as a starter in Arizona's secondary, and Wallace lined with the ones during 7-on-7. Wallace came in for the ejected Troy Young last week and played well. Young should see plenty of playing time off the bench.

* It appears that Nathan Eldridge will serve as Arizona’s short snapper with Trevor Wood (concussion) out.

* Number update: Cornerback Tony Wallace is now wearing No. 8. He had been No. 30.

* Offensive tackle Gerhard de Beer was punting during the early portion of warmups and struck the ball well. It’s unlikely de Beer will punt in tonight’s game, despite the former rugby player’s ability and desire to do so.

* Weekly Lucas Havrisik warmup report: The strong-legged freshman was making 45-yard field goals with plenty of room to spare.
