The Bowling Green football team was without four of its assistants Tuesday as it prepared to face the University at Buffalo at Doyt Perry Stadium in northeast Ohio.

Bowling Green's athletic department announced prior to the game that four coaches will miss the game because of Covid-19 protocols and contact tracing. A statement from Bowling Green said the four assistants, who were not identified, have been in quarantine since Thursday.

Bowling Green also did not specify if the assistants had tested positive for Covid-19 or if they had been in close contact with an individual or individuals who have Covid-19.

Bowling Green's coaches are expected to return for the Falcons' next game, Nov. 28 at Ohio, once they have successfully completed Covid-19 protocols.
