Tommy Fleetwood finished tied for fifth at the U.S. Open at Los Angeles Country Club.
There’s no rest for the weary as this week’s Travelers Championship is a PGA Tour designated event coming right on the heels of the 123rd U.S. Open.
That means the top golfers have flow across the country from Los Angeles Country Club to the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn., to tee it up just days after the toughest test in golf.
Eight of the top-10 golfers in the Official World Golf Rankings, which also includes the top-10 in FedEx Cup points, will be in the Travelers’ field, where Xander Schauffele is the defending champion.
Schauffele is currently ranked sixth in the world and has the longest cuts-made streak on Tour with 27 in a row.

He’ll be joined by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who is fresh off a third-place finish at the U.S. Open, as well as Rory McIlroy, ranked third in the OWGR, who took solo second last week in LA.
Scheffler is the odds-on favorite to win this week, sitting at +650 (according to Caesars) to win his third tournament of the season to go with the WM Phoenix Open and The Players Championship. Scheffler hasn’t finished worse than 12th place in his last 11 starts.
U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark is also playing this week, as he vaulted to No. 13 in the world with his first major championship victory.
Clark, however, is a long shot to win, currently at +5000 ... which makes sense. The whirlwind that Clark has been on since Sunday’s U.S. Open victory has to have been intense.
Winning the week after a major championship victory has only happened 10 times since 1934. The last one to do it was Tiger Woods, who won the WGC Bridgestone Invitational the week after winning the 2006 PGA Championship.
FrontPageBets takes a look at the golfers to watch this week at TPC River Highlands, which is one of the shortest courses on the PGA Tour circuit. The par 70 is just 6,852 yards and has been played for 40 years on Tour.
Here are our top Travelers Championship props for this week's action at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut.

Pick to win: Tommy Fleetwood (+2500)
While it’s a long-shot pick, especially in such a competitive and world-class field, Tommy Fleetwood is due.
The 32-year-old Englishman has never won on the PGA Tour, but he’s been close. And after firing a 63 in Sunday’s final round of the U.S. Open to give him a T5 finish, Fleetwood is on the cusp of breaking through.
He’s currently 20th in the world rankings and has five top-10 finishes so far this season, including losing in a playoff to Nick Taylor in the RBC Canadian Open two weeks ago.
In five of his last six tournaments, Fleetwood hasn’t finished worst that T18.
Top-5 pick: Tom Kim (+700)
Tom Kim rocketed up the U.S. Open leaderboard with a 6-under 29 on the front nine during Saturday’s third round at Los Angeles Country Club. He finished the day with a 66 on his way to a T8 – the best finish in a major of his career.
The 20-year-old Kim is already a two-time winner on Tour and is ranked No. 22 in the world and 18th in FedEx Cup points.
This season he’s secured nine top-25 finishes, including five top-5s in 19 starts.
Top-10 pick: Sahith Theegala (+500)
Sahith Theegala was in contention last year at the Travelers Championship before a double bogey on the 72nd hole put him two strokes behind Schauffele.
Theegala finished T27 at the U.S. Open, adding another confidence boost to a season that's seen him finish T9 at the Masters and T40 at the PGA Championship.
Theegala has also made 21 cuts in 22 starts, turning in seven top-10 finishes.
