Reserve running back Jonathan Haden recently met with Arizona Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez to tell him he plans to transfer.
Haden played in all 13 games last season and rushed for 44 yards on seven carries. He also caught three passes for 21 yards and had 10 tackles on special teams. Haden, the younger brother of Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden, would have been a junior this season.
Tucson News Now first reported the news about Jonathan Haden.
Additionally, reserve offensive lineman T.D. Gross will not return to the program. Gross, a redshirt junior in 2015, is on track to graduate in May. He appeared in 22 games the past three seasons and was a regular on special teams last year.
Also Friday, defensive lineman Sharif Williams announced he is medically retiring because of a chronic knee injury.
The Wildcats are tentatively scheduled to being spring practice on Feb. 10.
