Arizona football: Dates changed for Family Weekend, Homecoming on 2016 schedule

The University of Arizona has changed the dates for Family Weekend and Homecoming on the Wildcats’ football schedule.

Family Weekend will take place Oct. 14-16. It had been scheduled for Oct. 28-30.

Homecoming now will take place that weekend. It had been scheduled for Nov. 10-12.

The changes were made to avoid conflicts with the Veterans Day holiday weekend (Nov. 11-13).

Arizona will face USC during Family Weekend and will play Stanford on Homecoming. Both teams are expected to be ranked in the preseason Top 25.

Here’s how the 2016 schedule looks as of now:

• Saturday, Sept. 3: vs. BYU (at University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale)
• Saturday, Sept. 10: Grambling State
• Saturday, Sept. 17: Hawai'i
• Saturday, Sept. 24: Washington
• Saturday, Oct. 1: at UCLA
• Saturday, Oct. 8: at Utah
• Saturday, Oct. 15: USC (Family Weekend)
• Saturday, Oct. 22: Bye
• Saturday, Oct. 29: Stanford (Homecoming)
• Saturday, Nov. 5: at Washington State
• Saturday, Nov. 12: Colorado
• Saturday, Nov. 19: at Oregon State
• Friday, Nov. 25: Arizona State
• Friday, Dec. 2: Pac-12 Championship Game (at Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara)
