Arizona shortstop Mason White has been named one of 68 semifinalists for the Dick Howser Trophy, one of the most prestigious awards in college baseball, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced Thursday.

White's selection marks the third straight year that a UA player has made the semifinalist list for the award, given to the top player in the sport. White follows Chase Davis and Kiko Romero (2023) and Daniel Susac (2022).

White, a product of Salpointe Catholic High School, was tied second in the Pac-12 in home runs (17) and RBIs (60) with a .309/.402/.618 slash line entering Thursday night's Pac-12 showdown between first-place Arizona and second-place Oregon State.

Two OSU players, second baseman Travis Bazzana and closer Bridger Holmes, also made the list of semifinalists.

The Arizona-OSU series runs through Saturday, with all games at 6 p.m. at Hi Corbett Field. The Pac-12 Tournament is scheduled for Tuesday-Saturday of next week at Scottsdale Stadium.
