Arizona right-hander Owen Kramkowski has earned Big 12 Pitcher of the Week accolades after the best outing of his career.

Kramkowski threw six shutout innings and recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts in the Wildcats’ 6-0 victory over Fresno State on Friday night.

The junior allowed five hits and did not walk a batter. He threw 65 of 90 pitches for strikes.

Kramkowski matched his season strikeout total in just over half as many innings. (He had 12 strikeouts in 11⅔ innings entering Friday.) His previous single-game high was eight, achieved twice last year (March 1 vs. Mississippi State; May 22 vs. BYU).

Kramkowski, a graduate of Walden Grove High School, is scheduled to make his next start this Friday in the Big 12 opener at Utah (5 p.m., ESPN+).
