Erin Tack

The Arizona women's basketball team is now up to 11 active players on its roster with the addition of sophomore Erin Tack.Β

Tack, who is listed as a 6-foot-1-inch forward on the UA roster, is already a Wildcat. She throws javelin on the track and field team. She is listed on both squads, and it is not known what accommodations will be made so she can compete in the outdoor season for track.

Tack did not compete in the 2023 indoor season, however, in the outdoor season, she set an Arizona freshman javelin record with a throw of 148 feet, one inch at the Desert Heat Classic. She finished 16th in the javelin at the Pac-12 Championships.Β

Tack was a multi-sport athlete at Kelso Senior High School in Kelso, Washington, where she played basketball and volleyball. As a senior in the power forward position, her team finished in first place in the district (11-0) and had a 15-6 record overall.Β

She has another connection to basketball as UA men's basketball coach Tommy Lloyd is a Kelso native. Her mom, Mary Beth, taught Lloyd in school, and Erin played basketball with Lloyd's nephew.
