Arizona slipped three spots to No. 4 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, while Purdue took back the top ranking after its 92-84 win over the Wildcats on Saturday in Indianapolis.

Purdue (10-1) also held the No. 1 spot the week of Nov. 27 but lost at Northwestern on Dec. 1, while Arizona (8-1) moved atop the poll for the following two weeks.

Kansas (10-1) remained in the No. 2 spot in this week's poll while Houston (11-0) moved up one spot to No. 3 and UConn (10-1) remained at No. 5. Kansas won at Indiana while UConn beat then-No. 10 Gonzaga in Seattle on Friday.

Arizona's opponent on Saturday in Las Vegas, Florida Atlantic (9-2), moved up one spot to No. 14. On Wednesday in Phoenix, the Wildcats will face Alabama (6-4), which received three points in voting.

Among other UA opponents this season, Wisconsin (8-3) fell one spot to No. 24, while Colorado (8-2) picked up the 28th most points in voting and Utah (8-2) the 29th most. Michigan State (5-5) also gained 12 points.

Washington guard Sahvir Wheeler was named Pac-12 Player of the Week after Β collecting 19 points and 14 rebounds in the Huskies' double-overtime win over Seattle on Sunday.

Arizona had nominated Caleb Love, who 29 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in the Wildcats' loss to Purdue. Love shot 9 of 19 from the field and also made all seven free throws he took.

Other nominees for the weekly honor include Utah's Branden Carlson, who had 26 points in the Utes' win over Utah Valley; Colorado's K.J. Simpson, who had 21 points and five steals in the Buffaloes' win over Northern Colorado; and Washington guard Sahvir Wheeler, who

Stanford's Andrej Stojakovic was named the conference's freshman of the week after scoring 17 points in the Cardinal's 82-64 win over Idaho on Sunday. Arizona did not nominate a player for that honor.


ICYMI, after sitting out his nine-game suspension for taking benefits while at Arizona, Kerr Kriisa had 20 points in his debut for West Virginia, though the Mountaineers lost 87-79 to UMass.

Kriisa hit 6 of 15 3-point attempts while also posting seven assists to two turnovers.
