Multiple players had career highs as the Arizona women’s basketball team played its best all-around game of the season in a victory over Northern Colorado on Tuesday.

The Wildcats defeated the Bears 84-58 at McKale Center to improve to 5-0 under first-year coach Becky Burke.

Arizona forward Daniah Trammell (33) draws the fifth from Northern Colorado forward Tatum West (24) late during the fourth quarter of their game, Nov. 25, 2025, in Tucson.

“That's a really good team,” Burke told reporters afterward. “They were 5-1 coming in here. They just beat a team in the Big East at their house (DePaul). That's the best team we've played so far this year, and it was our largest margin of victory.”

Freshman forward Daniah Trammell had a career-best 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting against UNC’s zone defense. Redshirt-freshman guard Kamryn Kitchen had a career-high 16 points, including 4 of 6 3-pointers.

After a defensive performance vs. NAU that left Burke frustrated, Arizona limited UNC to 32% shooting from the floor. The Wildcats also outrebounded the Bears 45-33 while outscoring them 54-22 in the paint.

Arizona scored 80-plus points for the third straight game despite leading scorer Mickayla Perdue scoring just two points in 17 minutes.

Arizona guard Kamryn Kitchen (1) gestures as she retreats to defend after nailing a long range three against Northern Colorado, Nov. 25, 2025, at McKale Center.

Freshman wing Mireia Jurado picked up her teammate, scoring a career-high 12 points to go along with six rebounds. Guard Sumayah Sugapong had four points, 10 rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block.

Point guard Noelani Cornfield, who started the first four games, did not play in the first quarter. Cornfield was among the players Burke benched at the end of the NAU game.

Cornfield played 27 of the final 30 minutes, scoring 11 points and dishing seven assists.

Arizona next hosts Cal State Bakersfield at 6 p.m. Saturday. It’s part of a day-night doubleheader with the UA men, who face Norfolk State at 2 p.m.

“I'm all about a good little doubleheader,” Burke said. “Our men are in a league of their own. We’ll come in and breathe the same air as them. I'll take it.

“They're just a tremendous program and team right now, so we're very humbled to share a gym with them and share a game day with them. It'll be great. Two games in one day. I don't think our fans could want anything more.”
