Arizona bolstered its 2025 recruiting with three-star defensive back Coleman Patmon, a Del Valle, Texas native.Β

Arizona picked up another Texas-bred defensive back for its 2025 recruiting class, after Coleman Patmon committed to the Wildcats early Wednesday morning. The Wildcats also added a commitment from Los Angeles-area defensive lineman Mays Pese.

Pese is the first defensive line commit for Arizona's '25 class. The 6-2, 275-pound Pese, a senior at Bishop Garcia Diego High School in Santa Barbara, California, chose Arizona over Boise State, Michigan State, Oregon State, Washington State and Cal; he was previously committed to the Golden Bears.Β

Patmon, a three-star defensive back from Del Valle, Texas, chose Arizona over TCU, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Houston, Kansas State and Washington, among others.Β

In 20 games over two seasons at Del Valle High School, Patmon has 63 tackles, three interceptions and three pass breakups.

Patmon is the seventh '25 player from Texas to commit to Arizona this month β€” and most of them are defensive backs. Other Texas defensive backs in Arizona's '25 class include Lubbock, Texas safety Allen Gant, Austin-area cornerback Swayde Griffin and Dallas-area cornerback Gianni Edwards; two-way standout and San Antonio-area product Sean Robinson can also play defensive back.

Arizona has 17 total commits for its upcoming recruiting class. The Wildcats could potentially have seven defensive backs for their 2025 recruiting class.Β
