With Arizona's first spring football period with new head coach Brent Brennan days away, the Wildcats added a transfer cornerback, who is now at his third program.Β

Marquis Groves-Killebrew, who recently played one season at Louisville, is listed on Arizona's roster. The 6-foot, 185-pound Groves-Killebrew was a four-star recruit in 2022 and signed with Texas A&M as a high schooler.Β Β

Groves-Killebrew was selected to play in the 2022 All-American Bowl after a standout career at North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia. The redshirt sophomore appeared in three games with Texas A&M before playing in four games at Louisville. Groves-Killebrew has two tackles in his career.

Groves-Killebrew has an opportunity to compete for one of Arizona's starting cornerback spots, with starter Ephesians Prysock transferring to Washington. The Wildcats return starter Tacario Davis, who switched his jersey number from 23 to 1. Davis enters a junior campaign after leading the Pac-12 with 15 pass breakups in 2023.Β

Other options at cornerback besides Davis and Groves-Killebrew include Treydan Stukes, who played three seasons at cornerback before moving to nickel back, redshirt freshman Jai-Ayviauynn Celestine, freshman Emmanuel Karnley and junior college transfer Johno Price.

Arizona begins spring ball on March 26, with the spring game on Saturday, April 27 at 6 p.m. The Wildcats kick off the season against New Mexico on Aug. 31 in Tucson.
