Arizona's first addition in the spring transfer portal window is an offensive lineman.

Former Albany offensive lineman Chance Roberts committed to the Wildcats on Tuesday and will exercise his final season of eligibility at the UA.

The 6-5, 300-pound Hilliard, Ohio, native worked under former Arizona offensive lineman Jacob Alsadek, who was Albany's offensive line coach the last two seasons.

Last season, Roberts played seven games at left tackle, but started five games at left guard, according to Pro Football Focus.

Former Albany offensive lineman Chance Roberts is joining the Arizona Wildcats for his senior season.

After losing Georgia Tech transfer Jordan Brown, who started at left guard in the spring, to an upper-body injury, UA offensive coordinator Seth Doege noted interior offensive line as a position of need in the transfer portal. The Wildcats recently moved nose tackle Chubba Ma'ae to left guard in the spring.

Roberts is Arizona's sixth offensive lineman addition in the transfer portal, joining Brown, tackles Ty Buchanan (Texas Tech) and Tristan Bounds (Michigan), guard and center Ka'ena Decambra (Hawaii) and guard Isaac Perez (Portland State).

Between the transfer portal and the junior college and high school levels, Arizona is adding a combined 13 scholarship offensive linemen in 2025.
