Arizona landed a commitment from three-star 2027 wide receiver Trey Smith.

The early signing period for the 2026 recruiting class is set to get underway this week, but the Arizona Wildcats are building their 2027 recruiting class as well.

Arizona landed a commitment from three-star 2027 wide receiver and Gilbert product Trey Smith on Monday.

The 6-foot, 165-pound Williams Field High School star committed to the Wildcats over Arizona State, Iowa, Miami, Iowa State and Kansas State, among others. Smith is the second Williams Field prospect to join the Wildcats in as many years. Arizona has a commitment from Williams Field offensive tackle Malachi Joyner for 2026.

Smith has 51 catches for 992 yards and four touchdowns in two seasons at Williams Field.

Smith is the second commit for Arizona's 2027 recruiting class, joining Georgetown, Texas safety Jalani Culpepper.

The early signing period for the 2026 recruiting class begins on Wednesday.
